Why SUNLASER · Welding Quality
Battery Welding Quality Testing
Send us your cells and busbars. We weld them, inspect every joint and report the results, before the equipment design is finalized.

Why Test the Weld Before Building the Machine
A welding problem found in our lab costs days. The same problem found on your production line costs months.
Weak or Inconsistent Joints
Shallow penetration or porosity can pass a visual check, then fail later under vibration and current load.
Heat Damage to the Cell
Too much heat input at the terminal can affect the cell seal and internal components. The parameter window has to be found on your actual cells.
Dissimilar Materials
Aluminium-to-copper and plated joints need tuned parameters to avoid brittle, cracked or high-resistance welds.

How a Welding Trial Works
01
Share Your Specifications
Cell datasheet, busbar drawing, PACK design and target output.
02
Send Samples
Ship your cells and busbars to our factory in Dongguan, China.
03
Develop Parameters
Laser power, speed, focus and weld pattern tuned for your joint.
04
Weld and Inspect
Samples are welded and checked with the inspection methods below.
05
Report & Recommendation
Results, validated parameters and the recommended machine configuration.
How We Inspect Each Weld
Visual Inspection
Surface quality, spatter, cracks and weld width consistency.
Pull & Peel Testing
Mechanical strength of the joint measured on welded samples.
Cross-Section Analysis
Penetration depth, weld width and porosity checked under the microscope.
Contact Resistance
Electrical resistance across the joint, compared against your target.
From Test Results to Your Machine
The validated parameters go straight into the equipment design, then are checked again during factory acceptance testing.
